Ways to Save

Selective Packing
One of the best ways to save on moving is selective packing. Choose the furniture you wish to move carefully, considering the following:

• Will my king-sized bedroom set fit in our new home abroad?
• Will that appliance work on the electrical current in our new home?
• Will I be able to get spare parts for it overseas?

All these are questions to consider when taking on an international relocation. When in doubt please contact one of our trained staff members who will assist you with any questions you may have.

All-Risk Door-To-Door Marine Insurance
LTV Relocation Services will take the best possible care of your belonging, using sophisticated security measures at our warehouses. There are, however, times when for reasons beyond our control your goods may be damaged or lost. For this reason we suggest you insure your goods with an all-risk door-to-door marine insurance immediately upon their arrival to our warehouse (this includes war insurance, which covers hijackings).

While the cost of insurance is not covered in our estimate, your LTV Relocation Services representative will be glad to guide you in the matter. Remember, always insure your goods for the amount of money it would cost to replace them in the country you are moving to. Costs overseas are often much higher than in the United States.
